I'm adding this to my subs, hoping to get more tips and ideas. I hope there are people who find this useful and can get Krita working without days of Googling. Lettering brushes for Procreate contain a built-in pressure sensitivity. Oddly enough, Photoshop did not work that well for me. In addition to the brushes, this also includes 3 different paper texture canvas. On kritaFAQ, it said to install two things, Wintab圆41.0.0.20. I haven't tried Mischief or Manga Studio yet. I recently just started using krita, but i cant get the pressure sensitivity to work with the surface pen. Sketchable on the app store also worked well, even before all the trouble shooting. If anyone has a solution to that I would be very happy. No pen pressure before installing PS, serious input glitches after (jumping cursor, no stroke drawn until you lift the pen). So, Krita works perfectly, but my other choice, MyPaint, does not. I read somewhere that there is some dependency that PS installs as a redistributable which is not included in the Surface 3 version of Windows 10. I have tried all the older suggestions on how to solve pressure sensitivity in Krita (pen settings, reinstalling drivers, configure krita, tool bars etc.) and had no success. PROBLEM: Pen sensitivity does not want to work in Krita App. Bizarrely, this step made Krita work properly. Krita 4.2.3 Pressure Sensitivity Issues with Surface Pro (2017) tablet/ Windows 10. There are other downloads there that some people might find useful. Didn't appear to help at the time, but it might have made a difference later. installed the Wintab driver for Surface 3 (not pro) from here. updated everything, with multiple restarts and refreshes on Windows Update.Krita has incorporated many features, most of which are innovative and will make drawing fun and productive. This app is created by artists, which can give assurance regarding the most sensitive details. I thought I'd share the steps I took to get it working, just on case others are looking for the same thing- Our last recommendation but certainly not the least important will go to the Krita app. After four days, I finally have my preferred art package, Krita, running properly with pressure sensitivity on the pen and almost no input lag (only on long strokes with complex brushes). The art side has been a bit more challenging, partly due to the fact that most searches are heavily polluted with Surface Pro 3 information. I have the coding side setup well enough, with GIT, node, and VS Code all working as intended. I bought it as a device to use for quick access work on personal projects, mostly related to art and code. However, that's pretty much very long ago. Basically, photoshop replaces some windows system libraries so the wintab drivers work again. So, as of one week ago I am the owner of a Surface 3, 4GB version.
